This Carriage Clock dial had damage to both top corners and some hairline cracks. The missing pieces were filled in and it was a straight forward repair. A great deal of care has to be taken to ensure the restored places cannot either be seen or felt by running a finger over the finished work. When a missing numeral is restored then it is also important that it be painted in the correct style and placed accordingly, if not then the finished item is worthless.
